Privacy policy

This policy explains what Curbside collects across our marketing site at https://buildwithcurbside.com, our Spotlight listing app, and the public listing pages we publish for agents, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain on purpose.

Information you give us

When you fill out our inquiry form, we collect what you choose to send. Only your first name, last name, email, market, and phone are required. The form may also include your brokerage, agent type, the build and Care plan you are considering, your priority, your timeline, your current website, and any notes you add.

Spotlight accounts

Spotlight is our free tool for real estate agents to publish single-property listing pages. When you create a Spotlight account, we collect your name and email to sign you in by magic link, so there is no password. Your agent profile can also include your phone, brokerage, license number (DRE), headshot, and brand color. Each listing you publish holds the content you enter, such as the address, price, property details, description, and photos. Listing pages you publish are public and appear at your Curbside link and in search results.

Buyer inquiries on listing pages

When someone contacts an agent through a Spotlight listing page, we collect the name, email, phone, and message that person submits. These inquiries belong to the agent whose listing received them. We store and deliver them on the agent's behalf so the agent can follow up. If you are a buyer, the agent you contacted is responsible for how they use your information, and you should contact that agent with any request about it.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, we collect basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived. We use this to understand how the site is used and to keep it working and fast. On Spotlight listing pages we also count page views and basic engagement so agents can see interest in a listing.

How we use your information

• To reply to your inquiry with a review, a recommended build, and a time to talk.
• To provide, support, and bill for the services you ask for.
• To operate, secure, and improve this website.
• To send you messages about your project or account. We do not send marketing email you did not ask for.

Automated help when you paste a listing

When you paste existing listing text into the Spotlight create form, we send that text to our AI provider (Anthropic) to pre-fill the form fields for you. We send only the text you paste, the result is a draft you can edit before publishing, and this step is optional. Your pasted text is not used to train the provider's models.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and the analytics tools loaded through it to measure traffic and improve the site. These set cookies and collect usage data as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.

If you reach us from an ad or a tagged link, we store a single first-party cookie that records the campaign details from that link, such as the source, the campaign name, and the ad click identifier. We attach this to your inquiry so we know which campaign brought you to us. We set it only when you arrive through a tagged link, it lasts up to 90 days, and it holds no name, email, or phone number. Clearing your browser cookies removes it.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:

• Supabase stores inquiry form submissions, Spotlight accounts, listings, and buyer inquiries, and provides account sign-in.
• Cloudflare stores and delivers listing photos and headshots.
• Resend delivers our email, including new-inquiry alerts, magic-link sign-in links, and buyer-lead notifications.
• Anthropic processes listing text you paste into the Spotlight form to pre-fill it.
• Stripe processes payments if you become a paying client.
• Google provides tag management and analytics on our marketing site.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and client information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide the service, and meet legal and accounting obligations. For Spotlight, we keep your account, listings, and buyer inquiries while your account is active. You can delete a listing at any time, and you can ask us to close your account and remove your information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of analytics as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. To make a request, email us at hello@buildwithcurbside.com.

Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

This site is meant for business use by real estate professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
